The restaurant sits on the fifth floor of the Gran Hotel Ciudad de México, one block from the Zócalo with sweeping views of the square and the historic buildings around it. The hotel itself is an early 20th-century landmark with an Art Nouveau stained glass ceiling in the lobby you'll pass through on the way up via the original wrought-iron elevator.

The buffet spreads hot dishes, salads, and a dessert bar. The space stays quiet and calm even when full, so you can linger over breakfast while taking in the city views—tables near the railing have the best sightlines.
