Telcel Theatre

Teatro Telcel sits six floors underground in Plaza Carso, making it one of the most unusual theater spaces in Latin America — you descend through escalators past merchandise stands to reach the auditorium four stories below street level. The metallic structure by Mexican architect José de Arimatea Moyao is visible from the plaza, positioned between Museo Soumaya and Museo Jumex.

The theater hosts major Broadway-style productions, with recent runs including The Lion King. The acoustics are excellent throughout the space, and the stage setup handles large-scale sets well. Seats are close together with limited legroom, so taller guests should consider aisle seats. The venue sells snacks and drinks inside, though the seats don't have cup holders.

Parking can be tricky in Plaza Carso on show nights — arrive early or use ride-share to avoid the hassle.
