Il Canto

Il Canto has been doing karaoke in Polanco for 29 years. The setup includes two distinct spaces: an intimate piano bar room where you can sing in a smaller setting, and a main hall with a full stage, live band, and lighting that makes it feel like an actual concert. The sound system is legitimately good — not typical karaoke speakers — and the staff coordinates who goes up next.

Located on the second floor above a Starbucks on Campos Elíseos, the venue is open from 9pm onward and requires reservations. There's a cover charge, and the spot draws a mixed crowd including people from the entertainment industry. Expect a wait to get on the mic in the main room; the piano bar section moves faster. Drinks lean toward gin-based cocktails, and the late-night taco menu on the terrace includes suadero and al pastor.
