Foro Alicia

Foro Alicia

C. Eligio Ancona 145, Sta María la Ribera, Cuauhtémoc
Santa María la Ribera

Foro Alicia has been Mexico City's underground rock club since 1995, taking its name from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and an independent Italian radio station from the '60s. It's still the go-to for international and local underground, rock, punk, and experimental acts in a no-frills space with good sound and open sightlines.

The venue is mid-sized, spacious enough to move but small enough to feel close to the stage. Beers run around moderately priced territory. The bathrooms are clean, and there are seats along the edges if you need a break. Ticket sales happen Tuesday through Thursday afternoons at the door.
