Get 2x1 on all pulque—natural and curado—every Wednesday at La Risa, one of Mexico City's oldest and most storied pulquerías.

La Risa has held down the same corner of the Centro Histórico since 1903, serving pulque the way it's been made for generations. The pulque comes straight from Hidalgo and Tlaxcala, natural or curado with flavors like piña colada, walnut-coffee, guava, and oat.

The space is compact and rustic, with a jukebox and long communal tables—less craft cocktail bar, more cantina. It's small, simple, and a little rough around the edges, but that's exactly the point.
