Circo Volador

Housed in the old Cine Francisco Villa, Circo Volador is a legendary venue on the Mexico City metal and alternative music circuit. The stepped floor and theater-style layout mean good sightlines from anywhere in the room, and the acoustics hold up well for loud shows. The front section is standing-room only while the back rows have seats — cramped but functional.

Expect a packed house for metal and rock acts, with the crowd bringing serious energy. Beer is sold only in the lobby area, and lines can be long once the show starts. No on-site parking, but the Jamaica location is easy to reach by metro.
